In our last episode, we talked about the plan for Cedar management on a farm in Nebraska. Next on the list is increasing the amount of beneficial grasses and natives. Much of the open area on the farm is covered in Smooth Brome Grass. With aggressive, well timed applications of herbicide, the land owner will be able to eradicate it and introduce more beneficial varieties of warm season grasses. These areas will be combined with the clearings already created to form an extensive network of beneficial cover to add to the variety of habitat on the farm.
