Derek’s motivation to chase whitetails started in 2002. His job as a heavy equipment operator and half ownership in a hay business has allowed him to spend an ample amount of time in the outdoors. The obsession he developed after that first buck has lead to a year round pursuit towards managing whitetails. Food plots have taken over his life, he worries, brags and manages them much like a farmer does his crops. The fuel met the fire when he and Ross Fogle became friends. His property, Derek’s passion and their completely sickening obsession for management has resulted in the paradise they hunt today. Trial and error has been a huge part of their experience, but it’s also been a large part of their continued accomplishments in the deer woods.
