Late June is one of the few slower times for a deer manager in the Midwest. Bucks are nearing the peak of the antler growing season and the summer food plots are in. Planting summer plots can be feast or famine. Catch some timely rains and you could be set with a dynamite food source through the late season. Miss those rains, and it could be a complete failure.
