Project 17…6 years later-
From thriving chestnut trees and growing oak stands to converting switchgrass back into food plots, every decision is part of an ongoing effort to create better wildlife habitat and support a healthier deer herd. We discuss the challenges of managing aggressive switchgrass, increasing food availability through corn and soybean rotations, and adapting management strategies as deer populations and property conditions change.
One of the biggest lessons? Habitat management is never finished. It’s a constant process of learning, tweaking, and improving to make the property better year after year.
