Turkey Hunting
Turkey hunting often leaves hunters walking away without an explanation as to what went down. You have hunts where a bird hangs up at 80 yards or hunts where a longbeard is coming in on a string, then suddenly runs away. This short clip falls into the “unexplained” category. A couple week’s ago we had a jake mount a hen decoy while turkey hunting in Alabama. Despite Chuck’s best efforts to get the jake to leave, he stayed on top of the hen decoy. Chuck then took the opportunity to see just how close he could get to the jake. Calling as he crawled, he was able to get just three feet away before the jake finally walked away while still gobbling down the ridge.
